SFA Activites

Qirat competition

Qirat competition was held in our school auditorium from STD V to X, wherein the students executed a very well versed Surahs.this competition encouraged the children to give importance to the religious affairs as seriously as their studies or other activities as it teaches the value of being a good human being. It gave students a sense of confidence among themselves.

Investiture ceremony

Investiture ceremony was held in our school auditorium, wherein the outgoing office bearers handed over their duties to the incoming office bearers. All the Office Bearers took an oath to perform their duties with honesty and dedication to ensure discipline in the School.

Inter-School Drawing Competition

Inter School Drawing Competition was held where in the students showed their talents and creativity which was held at Bandra,Anjuman.

Tigerton

Our School attended the Tigerton and took part in the events such as drawing competition, face painting competition and street play. The competitions were divided into different time slots. It was a team of 12 students and 2 teachers Ms. Sheetal Pansare and Mrs. Naina Sakpal, who witnessed this fabulous experience, which horned the various talents among children. The theme for drawing competition was “The tiger’s jungle whereas for face painting the theme was ‘Wild animals of India’. From our School our student, Madiha Shaikh was honored with the first prize in face painting all over Mumbai.

Field Visits

Field Visits were organized in the month of July for all the students right from STD V-X. The visits included Mani Bhavan and Eraser factory for STD V-VI,Keshav Shrishti for STD VII-VIII and National Park for STD IX-X. The visit was meaningful and helpful for students as it was related to their syllabus as well as Environmental Values and Concerns. - This activity enhanced the observation skills of the students and also taught them how to keep scientific temperament towards things and develop a scientific attitude

The Little Literati!

The school had organized ‘THE LITTLE LITERATI” competition in the school auditorium. There were two groups senior group i.e. from VIII-X and junior group from STDV-VII.The competition was based on two categories one was newspaper reading and other was elocution competition. And for the senior group it was play reading and elocution competition. It was a tough neck to neck competition

Hindi and Marathi Patriotic song competition: Bharatachi Asmita

Hindi and Marathi Patriotic Song Competition was held in our school auditorium .The competition was held in two groups, junior and senior. The junior group sang Hindi Patriotic songs and senior group sang Marathi Patriotic songs. The student performed very well as singing in Marathi was a different and enriching learning experience for them.

Independence Day

Our National Flag was hoisted on this day with great pride and honor in our school followed by different cultural programmes performed by our students. It was a memorable day indeed as we were all reminded about our freedom fighters that fought and sacrificed for our country

Teacher’s day celebration

On 5th September the students organized a special program for the teachers to express their love and gratitude towards them. The teachers were very happy to see their love reciprocated by the students in such a manner.

SFA meeting for parents

The second SFA Parents teacher meeting was held on 5th November 2012 in the school premises. The topic for this meeting was “Improving Communication Skills”. It is very important for parents to be able to communicate openly and effectively with their children

NIE Workshop

NIE had organized two workshops for STD IX and X students. The resource person was Ms.Zeenat Bhagat .The workshop enabled students how to score well in future with the help of various revision techniques and how to effectively manage one’s time and how to embibe the qualities of their role models and face the world of competition with full efficiency.

Social Service Trip’

‘Social Service Trip’ was organized foe the students of Std IX to B.S.P.C.A and Old Saints’ Home .This trip inculcated the values of love ,responsibility ,pity ,affection’ towards the old people and animals.

Was held the topic was solving family conflicts with love and care.Diffrents ways were discussed with the parents on how to resolve conflicts with children’s

Joy of giving

The students were asked to collect some useful articles and then it was sent to the orphanage. This inculcated the value of sensitivity, sharing and caring towards the poor in the children. And they also learned how important it is to contribute towards the society.

Friendship day celebrated

Children socialize with each other and make new friends. They learn communication skills by this a sense of bonding is developed in them; they also learn how to handle peer pressure positively and value true friendship.

SFA meeting for parents

In the 4th meeting was held in school on 14 the February 2013, discussed about how children’s due to pressure start accepting drugs and how ones parents should take care of their children’s to prevent using this.

News Makers Meet

In keeping with its commitments to nation building and garnering journalistic skills among Gen Y, Times NIE had conducted its newsmakers meet .three of our students took part in the programme wherein they were put to test through a written quiz which comprised of question based on diverse topics like Politics,Linguistic,Business,Bollywood and the Internet

Spell bee competition

Nine students participated in Spell bee competition which was held in the school among them six students were selected for inter school competition and they got a inter school championship trophy.

Quranic Quiz Competition

Quranic Quiz Competition was held at Alma Latifi Hall wherein all Anjuman Group of schools had taken part. Our five students participated in this competition and our students gained lot of knowledge through this competition and were delighted in participating in this competition.

Road Safety Fortnight 2013 Painting Competition

Road Safety Fortnight 2013 Painting Competition was held at Cooperage traffic children park,colaba on 13 January. Five students from our school have participated in this competition. The theme of the competition was Road Safety. . It developed a sense of responsibility and carefulness while walking on the roads and also the importance of civic sense amongst the students.
