6th-8th August: Inspire Award.

Inspire Award Science Exhibition was conducted by the Education Department at Holy Name High School. Our student Ms.Khot Zoya of Std IX A participated in this competition. She had prepared a working model of an eco-friendly house that works on solar energy and other alternative sources of energy under the guidance of Mrs.Mubashira Shaikh.

24th August Workshop on Save the Tigers.

‘ Save the Tigers’ Workshop was conducted at  Maharashtra Nature Park for creating an awareness amongst kids to help save the tigers. This workshop helped teachers in taking various activities in school to help conserve the pride of the Nation. The activities conducted were poster making competition,  theme based plays, mask making competition, etc.

26th Spell Linc Competition.

Spell Linc Competition was held in the school auditorium by Spell Linc Pen Company.Students for Std VII-IX participated in this competition. Two students from our schoo, Khan Amina Arif and Ansari Quba Mohd Yusuf reached the National Level of this competition.

28th August: Marathi and Hindi Poetry Recitation Competition:

A Value based Marathi and Hindi Poetry Recitation Competition was held in the school auditorium.There were two groups. Group I included students from Std V-VII for Hindi Poetry Recitation, and group II included students from std VII-IX for Marathi Poetry Recitation Competition. The students confidently participated in this competition and it helped them to improve and develop their language skills.

30th August:  National Science Research Project.

‘National Science Congress’ for children had conducted an Orientation programme for the research project for the academic year 2013-2014. The theme of this project was based on energy. It was held at Nav bharat High School. Our science teacher Mrs.Mubashira Shaikh attended the programme for the same.

31st August: Mahindra’s Teacher Training Programme.

Miss Fehmin Shaikh and Miss Neha  Mokal attended a training programme at Mahindra’s company,HRD conducted by Mr.Prasad. The main objective of the training was to empower the teachers and train them so that they can in turn train their students for preparing jet toy and skimmer for ‘A world in Motion (AWIM) Challenge’ .It was indeed very helpful insightful for our  teachers.
