Supplementary Activities

Supplementary activities

1]Friendship day celebrated- Children socialize with each other and make new friends. They learn communication skills by this a sense of bonding is developed in them, They also learn how to handle peer pressure positively and value true friendship.

2] Each one teach one –The higher class students taught the lower class  the students whom they have adopted as they school sibling thereby learning the importance of peer mentoring. They help each other and a sense of sharing is inculcated in the children

 3] Let us keep our environment clean. 17th June in morning Assembly, H.M planted a sapling. We had a short skit on saving environment and poem on environment. Thus through this they inculcate a love  towards the environment

  4] Joy of giving- The students were asked to collect some useful articles and then it was sent to the orphanage. This inculcated the value of sensitivity, sharing and caring towards the poor in the children. And they also learned how important it is to contribute towards the society.

5] Coronation ceremony- 24th June in the school auditorium the school captains took an oath and were handed over the badges by the H .M. This builds up a sense of responsibility, confidence and leadership qualities in the students.

 6] S.F.A refresher workshop was organized by the Lion’s club in which the discussion about how to carry out the S.F.A activities had taken place. We also had a follow up meeting with our SFA core committee so as to ensure the smooth execution of the SFA plan throughout the year.

7] Field visit- This activity enhanced the observation skills of the students and also taught them how to keep scientific temperament towards things and develop a scientific attitude.

8] Civil Defence- On 11th July the children were taken to the auditorium for civil defense lecture. They were taught how to defend themselves in the crowd or in a lonely place.

9] Kids for tiger movie- The kids were shown this movie on 21st July to sensitize them towards the animals and nature.They were also made to realize how to do their bit for the environment.

10] Teacher’s day celebration- On 5th September the students organized a special program for the teachers to express their love and gratitude towards them. The teachers were very happy to see their love reciprocated by the students in such a manner.

11] Hindi Divas – 14th of Sep. the students celebrated Hindi day with a patriotic song and dance. This inculcated  the patriotic values in the children and instilled love for the nation and also respect their national language.

12] 8th Sep- S.F.A. Teachers and Heads came together to follow up the activities and look up for some suggestions to enhance the program to its fullest.

13] Inter- School Dinyaat competition encouraged the children to give importance to the religious affairs as seriously as their studies or other activities as it teaches the value of being a good human being.

14] Cleanliness Drive- On 23rd Sep the students were taken to nearby locality and were made to help the sweepers on the road. With this the students learnt to keep their surroundings clean. They indirectly spread awareness among the masses by actually cleaning the place. They also learnt dignity of labor and developed a sense of feeling for the poor sweepers.

15] Proctor and Gamble- They had come to instruct students about personal hygiene and cleanliness on 28th Sep.

16] Expert Talk - Dr.Ghabrani’s- workshop on 29th Sep was very useful for the students where he spoke about stress in the life of teens and how to cope with it. This gave a boost to the students’ confidence and helped them build self confidence.

17) Children’s day was celebrated with great joy and spirit by the teachers & the students. The programs were organized by the teachers who showed their love and respect to their students by singing and playing games.

18) International Lion’s Quest President Mr Wing-Kun-Tam visited Anjuman – I – Islam’s Group of Schools. A short program was held for him. The S.F.A students & teachers had attended the program at Karimi Library. Our student Ansari Hamda was given the opportunity to express students’ impressions about the program that has been successfully implemented in our schools for a couple of years.


19) NIE conducted a workshop for Std VII to X students based on communication skills Ms. Zeenat Bajaj enlightened the minds of our kids. Students really enjoyed the workshop and it also became a learning experience for them.

20)There was a Road Safety Competition at Home Guard Maidan organized by the government wherein  40 of our  students had taken part. It developed a sense of responsibility and carefulness while walking on the roads and also the importance of civic sense amongst the students.

21) Handwriting Competition was held for the students of Std. V to VIII by Link Pen Company. The competition was basically held to improve students’ handwriting as it has been rightly said ‘ Good handwriting is a necessary part of Education’

22) NIE organized a drawing competition at Sobo Central Mall wherein 4 students from our school had taken part to enhance their creativity and developed a sense of confidence among them.

23) Seven Students from Std IX took part in group singing competition organized by the department at KNS Shirodkar High School thereby giving an impetus to performing arts as well. Thus building a sense of responsibility and developing team spirit among them.
